We’ve done business with this nursery over the last decade and have had a relatively good experience until recently. After spending several hours identifying trees for our property, the gentleman who was helping us and his supervisor quoted us the price for a couple of trees that did not have a tag on them. We agreed to buy those trees and moved on getting other shrubs. When we went to check out, the fee increased $700 per tree. From $1450 to $2150. Ironically enough, the guy said he had another customer the week prior that he misquoted a price and the guy did not mind paying an additional thousand dollars for the tree upon checkout. Not sure if this is a strategy from the business to increase production or what, but it is totally unacceptable, unethical, and borderline criminal. The items we did purchase were delivered to our property without notice. No phone call. No email. Nothing. After writing down the delivery instructions to our property, they were completely ignored and the items were left in the middle of our drive way. I had to hire my mowing crew to move the trees and shrubs out of my driveway and also pressure wash the area. A complete disaster. I contacted the owner Bi

I bought a beautiful, large crape myrtle tree for my front yard a month ago and paid for delivery and instillation. We had a heavy wind storm a few weeks later and it left the tree leaning noticeably to one side. Asked Hewitt to fix the problem and stake the tree in place, and they sent men out who did just that. The tree is thriving. I really appreciate how they stand behind their work. Have been purchasing from them for twenty years and will continue to do so. I highly recommend this company.

I have an incredible individual landscaper and have also grown up around nurseries, so am extremely picky about the variety and quality of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees. I’ve lived in Nashville for almost twenty years now and Hewitt is the ONLY place where I shop for anything that goes in the dirt. They have an INCREDIBLE variety of trees, including virtually all types native to the area as well as in all stages of maturity (the best anywhere in TN, IMO). Additionally, their working greenhouses are staffed year round with team members who keep the flowers, plants, and succulents healthy and pruned for maximum growth and success when they come home. Their stock and volume of products is ~10x that of other area nurseries as well as those at the big box chain stores, yet the pricing is at or lower than the chain stores while the quality is so much higher. Shop here to get your yard started and you will have less maintenance to do aa time goes on, but I guarantee you that each year you’ll come back to Hewitt just like I do. Also—huge shout out to Luke on their team who went out of his way to juggle multiple tasks to help me with tree selection not because it was his responsibilit
